Buckshaw Retirement Village

 
Buckshaw Retirement Village provides 216 high quality mixed tenure apartments, 156 of which are level 1 and 2 assisted living dwellings designed to meet the housing and support needs of older people, with a menu of care available that is able to respond to the residents changing needs with dignity and independence. At the heart of the community there is a Country Club including an Active Life suite, restaurant, bars, library, bowling green etc.

Phase 1 saw the completion of the Extra Care dementia unit comprising 60 studio apartments arranged in 4 individual household clusters that attempt to create an environment that feels like home rather than an institution. The accommodation provides well-designed, high quality housing with support accommodation, cinema, cafe, pet-store, hair and beauty etc, in a safe environment for people with dementia and other related memory impairments (level 3 assisted living).
